Our Professional Obligations
As a registered tax agent, we are bound by the TPB Code of Professional Conduct, which requires us to:
- Act honestly and with integrity;
- Comply with all relevant taxation laws;
- Act in the best interest of our clients;
- Maintain professional competence and complete ongoing professional education;
- Maintain confidentiality of client information, unless legally required to disclose it;
- Supervise our staff and any outsourced service providers appropriately;
- Have adequate administrative and quality assurance procedures in place.
Your Responsibility as Our Client
When you engage Acurion Advisory, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information in a timely manner;
- Maintain up-to-date and relevant records;
- Respond to our requests for information necessary to complete your work;
- Retain required records for the time periods mandated by law;
- Comply with Australian taxation laws and employment obligations, including the Fair Work Act, Superannuation Guarantee laws, and other applicable regulations;
- Not provide false or misleading information to us or government bodies.
Failure to meet these responsibilities may limit our ability to act on your behalf or result in the termination of our engagement.
Complaints and Dispute Resolution
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your service, we encourage you to raise the matter with us directly. We will investigate your concerns and aim to resolve them promptly.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a formal complaint with the TPB. Visit www.tpb.gov.au/complaints for more information.
Disclosure of Significant Matters
As at the date of this document:
- Acurion Advisory Pty Ltd has no conditions, restrictions or disciplinary actions recorded against it by the TPB.
- There are no prescribed events that would affect your decision to engage our services.
Should any significant matters arise in the future, we will update this disclosure within 30 days as required under the TASA.
AML/CTF Reporting Entity Status
From 1 July 2026, Acurion Advisory Pty Ltd is a reporting entity under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth) (AML/CTF Act). As a reporting entity, we are required to maintain an AML/CTF Program, conduct customer due diligence on clients and their beneficial owners, perform ongoing screening against sanctions and politically exposed person lists, and report certain transactions and suspicious matters to the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC). These obligations form part of our broader regulatory framework and may affect the way we interact with clients, including the information we request from you and the circumstances in which we may be unable to proceed with or continue an engagement. Professional Standards Limitation of Liability
Acurion Advisory Pty Ltd is a member of the Professional Standards Scheme approved under the Professional Standards Act 1994 (NSW) and equivalent state and territory legislation. Our liability is limited by a scheme approved under Professional Standards Legislation. This is disclosed on all documents provided to actual and prospective clients.
